Having a child

Having a child has changed my perspective on a lot of things.. It has mostly taught me to be patient and show benevolence to the tiny being at my feet and even made me appreciate the little things in life we usually ignore.

Eva, has taught me appreciate everything she sees and hears. Every sight and sound amuses her. The sight of a moon brings sparkle to her button eyes and I wonder.. Whoa God had some amazing plan at work when he placed the moon there. The wheel of a vehicle amuses her for a fact that it goes on and on in a circles.. The fact that t he circular motion of a the wheel can cause movement is basic physics which we fail to appreciate when we travel from point A to point B. She has taught me to look at animals with compassion and probably she may want me to shelter them as she gets older(which is a definite no!).

I have learnt to thank God for the little gifts in life we take for granted – vision, smell, touch. Have you taken a moment ever to wonder what it would be like to be alive without one of these senses not functioning the way it should. My child has instilled in me a sense of confidence and pride that is much higher than something I could with the best education and job ever. She has made me realise llife is worth living for and makes me want to go back to my younger days. Her smile in the morning reminds me to be thankful for the new day and her excitement to see children her age makes me realise I should cherish the friends I have and hold them close.

My child is the best gift I could ever have!
